Well, last night Cory hosted dinner at her place for me, my mom, my sister, and her friend Robert. It was highly fun, and very light. My mom and Cory completely sandbagged me by conspiring to get me worked up and frothing at the mouth over stuff. (Note to self to ponder: Why, oh why, did I ever give Cory my mom’s phone number?? *sigh*) They almost succeeded (well, they mostly succeeded) until I realized that Cory was full of crap and lying terribly. But, she is beautiful, smarter than me, and could probably wrestle me to the ground and win, so I forgive her, plus she looks so cute trying to keep a straight face while bold-face lying… such facial contortions!

It is with both a great deal of happiness and somewhat dreading that I saw how well she and my mom and sister got along. Happiness for obvious reasons, and dread since she fell into the “bait Keith and then pull the rug out from under him” antics of my sister a little too well

The highlight was me finally convincing Cory to let me take her photograph. Of course I did so under penalty of having an anvil dropped on my head if said image of her should ever reach the light of the Internet. I will prevail at some point and she will let me do a full shoot with her (she just hasn’t realized it yet).

Everyone had a great time. Some new things about each other were learned by all. So remind me to write the story sometime of “Cory the Circus Girl Who Wore a Big Feather Hat and Stood on the Back of a Horse as it Walked Around the Big Top”* *(this may or may not be a fictional story). Now if that doesn’t generate gossip at her work, I don’t know what will! But, should she have ever given out this website addy to begin with?
