I am still suffering some effects from my cold, but I resumed working out today (I didn’t have much choice since I joined the Bikram Yoga Challenge and today is the start of the 60 days).
So, I did the 90 minute yoga workout this morning, and I am thinking of heading out to the Wellness Institute later this afternoon to do a 30 minute cardio workout as well. I haven’t done cardio in a few days now (almost 5 days I think), and I need to make sure I can keep up my 30 minute pace. I will do a 30 minute run today (on the track), and depending on how my knee feels tomorrow and the next day I may stick to elliptical machines for the rest of the week leading into next weekend. I’ll be heading down to Minneapolis next weekend to participate in my first race (5k) since I did long distance running in high school, and I am pretty pumped up about the idea!
I am also going to get up a little earlier than normal as of this week, so that on a Monday to Friday basis I can attend the 6am class of Bikram Yoga. It should be relatively easy for me to do since I am very much a morning person.
