I took my first Bikram Yoga class tonight, and I am completely wiped out. Everything I wore to the class is completely and utterly soaked from sweating. I never sweat that much doing my morning cardio workouts. It was the most intense workout I think I have ever done.
The yoga studio I went to is having a challenge starting May 1, of participating in 60 days of consecutive classes for $60 (which is absolutely outrageously cheap). You have to go to 1 class every day for 60 days. I have a problem in that I am out of town on May 6, 7, and 8. I am taking my mother to Minneapolis for Mother’s Day, and am running in a 5k race down there. I am going to phone the yoga studio and ask if there is a way I could make arrangements to be able to join the challenge, but miss those 3 days (i.e. take 2 classes on Saturday/Sunday for a couple weeks). I hope they will allow for something like that, because 60 classes for $60 is an absolute steal.

I am so pumped!! My belt went in another notch as of this morning (that is 4 notches since I started)! It is so satisfying to see this progression in my waistline reduction. If I keep this up much longer the chickies might start calling me “shexay!!”

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine today. My left quad is feeling better, but I could feel it getting more sore after about 20 minutes on the machine. I’m definitely going to avoid running on the track until after the Minneapolis race.

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine again this morning. I forgot to do my post workout stretching, so I hope that doesn’t come back to haunt me.
Left quad update: still rather sore. I might have to take a day or two off completely to give it more time to rest.

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical again this morning. My quad is still sore, and so far has not shown much improvement. Come Hell or high water, I am running in that race on May 8th!
