Filed under: Uncategorized — Keith @ 9:51 pm

My site got mentioned on Small Dead Animals in the Carnival of Newbies.

Thanks Kate!

I think I’ll have to check ye old “Who’s Linking To Me” in the admin module more often – or maybe not since it might get depressing if I am writing stuff no one wants to link to ;)

Post Workout Update

Filed under: Uncategorized — Keith @ 9:47 pm

Ok, I am back from my second consecutive day of Bikram Yoga. The good news is, I didn’t have to leave the studio early this time. The bad news is I went into tonight’s workout feeling like I played in three consecutive rugby matches (and ended up at the bottom of the scrum a lot) ;) I was so sore from yesterday’s yoga class that I thought about skipping today. My shoulders are very, very, very sore. I have a strained knee that is slowly healing, and it is still sensitive enough that I can’t do all the movements correctly, but the instructor is completely forgiving of my spastic abilities with yoga (at least for now ;) ). I am also just generally sore all over – my lower back and shoulders are where I am feeling it the most right now though).

To top off the muscle soreness from yesterday’s workout. I am fighting off a cold right now. It really sucks (just a stunning revalation about colds, eh?). So my chest was getting very congested in the humid 41°C temperature of the room. I had to basically lie still for the last 10 minutes of the class to try and slow my heart rate and breathing down.

I also signed on for the 60 day Bikram Yoga challenge. I have already paid, and I must take my first class as of this Sunday (May 1st). The instructor has been kind enough to allow me to do a couple make-up classes (i.e. I do 2 classes in one day on a couple weekends) because I will be out of town on May 6, 7, & 8 (taking my mom to Minneapolis for Mother’s Day).

I’m also meeting a new friend in Minneapolis for the first time, and if this cold isn’t gone by then, I’m gonna lose it :)

Oh, post class news flash – I think I might have a fever, and I feel damn sick, and not only am I writing a run-on sentence, but my muscles are now even more sore than they were yesterday. I think I might just pop a couple Robax, a couple Nyquil, and crash for the night.

More Adscam Opinion From An American Blogger

Right Wing Nut House also has an opinion on the impact of the Adscam scandal on the Canadian people. He also touches on the ideas set out by another blogger that this could precipitate the collapse of the Federation.

I doubt it, but if Quebec actually wanted to leave, I say let them. But in the end, we shall see.

Angry in the Great White North: What Brought Canada To Possible Collapse?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Keith @ 1:43 pm

Angry in the Great White North has written a good essay on what has brought Canada to the place where we are today politically (teetering as a country and pandering to Quebec).

Check it out, it’s a good read.

Heh, I am such a geek for this kind of stuff. The Make Blog has an entry on how to make your own MP3 player.

Cool stuff! I might have to break out my soldering iron!

The Blue Maple Leaf has a short opinion piece about the “Stay-in-power-at-any-price” deal that Martin has struck with the NDP.

Brock: on the attack also has a short opinion piece on the deal. Some of the comments are pretty funny though.

Captain Ed at Captain’s Quarters is on point again and again with opinion pieces about the Liberal/NDP deal.

Conservative Life also jumps into the fray.

M. K. Braaten has also chimed his voice in on the how the Liberals are willing to sell out Canadians to stay in power.

I didn’t go to my workout this morning. I am so sore from the yoga last night, and my knee had still been a bit sore. I’ll re-evaluate tomorrow morning.
