I’m doing great on this diet. I feel good, I am eating way better than possibly I ever have in my life. I don’t think I blogged it before, but I joined a local gym last week – The Wellness Institute. I have been going to work out in the early morning. I get there between 6 and 7 am, and I have been doing 11 minutes of fast walking (not speed walking), 1 minute of running, and 8 minutes of fast walking. Today I decided to step up the pace, and I did:
5 walking, 1 run, 5 walk, 1 run, 5 walk, 1 run, 5 walking
I am going to keep at this pace for about a week, and then switch to 4 walking, 1 running, etc. and do that for a week or so. I hope to eventually get back into shape enough that I could participate in a 5k marathon within 1 year. I don’t want to push myself too fast though because I have exercise-onset asthma, so I need to build lung capacity slowly.
I am going to a store tonight (I hope they are still open when I get there) to buy some meat. Apparently they get bison in every Tuesday, and by Wednesday it is all gone. so I am going to see if I can get some bison steaks and some ground bison (bison is very lean so it should fit in well with the diet).
